"It's Old School, I like it!", Dan Henderson, Olympic, Pride & UFC LegendOver the years; Kokoro have received many calls from the parents of youths interested in taking up the sports of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Karate and Judo. We’re now please to announce that, due to our improved facilities in Dublin, we’re able to offer martial arts training to youths aged 12-15.
This weekends trip to Antrim was a blast in every respect with two Kokoro MMA fighters making their ring Debut. Seamus Cassells with an amateur matchup and Neno Platisa jumping straight in at Semi Pro following just 6 months of Martial Arts training.
Weigh ins for local fighters participating in this weekends UFR Semi Pro Series took place at Kokoro Mixed Martial Arts this afternoon. Weigh-ins took place between 13:00 – 17:00 on Saturday 22nd September, 2007. The results were as follows;
We’ve received the tickets for UFR10 in Galway. Tribal Warfare will be Shane’s last fight before he turns his attention 100% to coaching.
The date for the Dublin Open Submissions Tournament is now officially set. There’s been some confusion but the Tournament will be held on 13th October, 2007.
Seamus Cassells continues to progress in MMA. He’ll be fighting his amateur debut at the UFR Semi Pro Series on Sunday 23rd, September 2007. He’s wasting no time though and is already scheduled for a Semi Pro fight at the new Derry Promotion “Chaos Fighting Championships” on December 1st, 2007.

At long last, Kokoro Mixed Martial Arts have opened the doors to our new full time gym. It’s fully equipped and will serve as both an MMA Gym and Kyokushin Dojo. We’re working on an an opening day with Ireland’s best fighters and coaches. More on that soon.
