2008 is drawing to a close and we’d just like to confirm the dates of our Christmas Break. The gym will be closed following our in-house submissions tournament on December 20th, 2008 and we’ll re-open on January 5th, 2009. The final youth training session of the year will be held December 13th.
Just to confirm; Kokoro is closed on Bank Holiday Mondays. So, there’s no Kyokushin on Monday. See you on Tuesday (5th August, 2008) for MMA as usual.
Starting next week we’ll be strictly adhering to the training schedule (times). MMA and Kyokushin sessions are due to start at 20:00 sharp. We’ll no longer be starting late and/or interrupting training sessions to accommodate late arrivals.
A few people have mentioned that getting into the gym for 7pm isn’t easy. Bartek has kindly agreed that, by popular demand, the Monday night Kyokushin sessions will now run from 20:00 – 22:00. We’ll update the schedule section as soon as we can.
For those of us that don’t want to waste a bank holiday on the beer…. ….Kyokushin training is ON this Monday. Bartek will be there and the Kyokushin side of the club is growing quickly. Take advantage of it guys. It’s GREAT training – hind, mind, body & spirit!

Just wanted to wish everyone a VERY happy easter and let you know that the gym will be closed on Monday 24th March (no Kyokushin) for the holidays. Enjoy the break and see you next week!
It’s no secret that I’m a HUGE fan of GSP. His style of MMA is a combination approach that mixes Kyokushin, Boxing and Wrestling. Sound familiar? His performance at UFC 79 was massive.

It’s been an eventful year for Kokoro (to say the least!) and after two years without a break; we’re going to close the doors for a couple of weeks of well earned rest! We’ll be closed for a two week period over Christmas and the New Year.

In August this year, the lads from Kokoro had the pleasure of training for a week with Semmy in Croatia. It’s hard to appreciate the size, speed and technical proficiency of the guy until you train with him. TV just doesn’t do him justice (as the lads discovered).
Christmas is just around the corner and we’ll be celebrating Kokoro Style. On Saturday December 15th, we’ll have a club-only tournament followed by a night out on the town.
Kokoro Mixed Martial Arts in Dublin held a full day of training yesterday (10th November, 2007). Andy flew in from Germany to help with the coaching and we’re now well and truly knackered! The focus and dedication of Kokoro Martial Artists is second to none.

At long last, Kokoro Mixed Martial Arts have opened the doors to our new full time gym. It’s fully equipped and will serve as both an MMA Gym and Kyokushin Dojo. We’re working on an an opening day with Ireland’s best fighters and coaches. More on that soon.
