Time for a Kokoro Christmas in Dublin?
Would you believe it? It’s that time of the year already. The question is; what are we going to do about it? We’re looking for ideas for a club Christmas celebration.
So, what are your suggestions? Will it be beer from cans on the banks of the Liffey (Wes) followed by a slap up garlic cheese and chips from Abrakebabra (Dave)? Or, do we have better ideas. Please leave your comments/suggestions.
What shall we do? When shall we do it? It’s our second anniversary and first Christmas in the new Gym / Dojo - so, I’d say some sort of celebration is in order?

Drink/dinner? An awards night of some sort (everyone needs their ego stroked)? If ya need a hand shane give me a shout
how about our own little fight tournement in the club, followed by beers and food. but it would prob be too cold in the club for any sort of bbq. ehh i’ll come up with sumthin better later
Wahey… Two good ones there. Really like the idea of a mini tournament then a place to eat ‘n drink.
Jonny - not sure how much time you have on your hands; but how would you feel about organising something?
I’ll think up something about a mini tournament.
ALL - what do you think of the tournament idea?
ye im actually lovin the idea for a mini tournament now more i think about it as long as im not fighting junior. maybe some weight classes or skill levels or even grappling if people arent up to fighting but mini comp would be great fun to watch. and maybe some food or something but im loving the idea now im up for it definatly
Yeah, the mini tourny sounds good. An awards night of some sort might be toorushed to be doing something at this stage. Beers and food after said tournament is a given though. Reckon we should deffo have an awards night of some sort next year Shane… I like shiny things!
Haha… and the award for the shiniest head goes to….
I was thinking of an end of year type thing anyway. But, nothing major since we did a lot of that during the all day training (see - you missed the fun part!).
So, if we can arrange the day and get enough people - it’ll be a doddle. Can you chat with people and gauge a decent date?
I’d love a tournament/night out. Havent been down since the all day training and unfortunately i wont be down for another two weeks, the work hours are killing me :-(, but im definitely up for whatevers happening.
Cheeky bugger Shane, Im not getting bald, just getting more head
I will have a chat with people and see when they are free.
Ah… getting more head… the true path to hapiness…
Is this turning into one of those dirty chat rooms now?
More importantly Cathal; are you up for doing something for Christmas?
Defo! A tournament sounds really good. And we obviously have to go for a few beers afterwards!
Tournament, then lots of food, sounds good. Anyone know a good restaurants?
I’d say we’ll have trouble getting a restaurant at this stage. But, I think Frans still runs the kitchen of a pub chain. I could get in touch and see if there’s anything he can do?
I reckon yis should all get locked first, and THEN have the tournament.
I’ll watch! How about Saturday the 15th Dec? Hands??
Denise
Dec 15th sounds good to me.
I can do the 15th anyway, anyone else? Oh shane wont be their tonight. They are short handed at work and was collared for overtime.
Cheers Jonny. No worries. You coming to watch the fights on Saturday? Cathal is driving up.
Did someone mention food…beer……Iam there with bells on!
i call fighting junior!!
we could call it the ”kokoro kristmas kup”
“The Kokoro Christmas Cup”; if we’ve enough entrants… sounds great. So, 15th December. Kokoro Christmas Cup followed by a night out. Sounds perfect!
Here,in all fairness Shane, I think having cans on the liffey is exactly a fair representation of me,its winter after all, and we’d get soaked……Cans indoor now, thats a different story! :’)
On a more serious note Dec 15th is good foer me,should have most projects finished up by then! food and drink after(even if its not “cans” sounds good too!)
OK. So we’re on for a tournament and a night out with some food ‘n stuff.
