Lesnar vs. Couture – Who gives a sh1t about Fedor?
It’s official. Couture and Lesnar will go at it for the UFC title. This is immense. Do we Couture keeping the belt. His wrestling is good but is it Brock Lesnar good?

Randy Couture will fight Brock Lesnar at UFC 91 on November 15 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Couture has signed a new deal with the UFC for three fights. His first will be against Lesnar, with the winner taking on the winner between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Frank Mir.
All good news! But Lesnar, who earned respect from many a die hard fan after his performance against Herring, has been quoted as saying, “Who gives a shit about Fedor?”
Has Lesnar, in one foul swoop, destroyed the credibility he’s fought for?

4:51: Lesnar says fighting Couture was something he couldn’t turn down. “I’m very excited. Not a lot of people get this opportunity, and not a lot of people are me either.”
4:52: Lesnar goes on a long rant about Fedor: “I don’t give a s–t about Fedor. I’m sick about people talking about Fedor…You want that fight? Fine, but I don’t give a damn.”
So to recap…
Couture is back, Lesnar is already up for the title and Fedor is ’shit’. Been a busy week really!

To be honest I would of preferred to see Randy fight Fedor. It would of been a lot more technical fight but lesnar will be handful for Randy and I think Randy will struggle with is shear size and strength. It will be one ill look forward to watching anyway!
Ahhhh Jayzus Lesnar, don’t balls up any credibility you have gotten! This will be a tough one for the natural.
I have never counted hom out before, but lesnar is just a train. He gets anyone on the ground and it will be nigh on impossible to get him off
Yep. There’s a weight limit on this though and he’ll need to come down a couple of quid (only 15 or so). But I don’t see that Randy’s typically superior wrestling skills are going to count for much.
That said, Randy’s boxing skills are very, very good. He knows how to pick his shots. I’ve a nasty feeling he’s not going to get the chance to box with the train wreck that is Lesnar though.
Looking forward to seeing this. Would love Fedor/Couture but ill take what comes.
I think lesnar is a beast and his wrestling and power are undeniable but i think someone like Nog or Couture or even Mir again always has the skillset to catch him with a sub, even from a bad position on the ground. Herring didnt have that ability and got pounded for three rounds. Its an incredible test for lesnar and a hard fight for couture to find an edge.
I’d agree with Nog and Mir. But, Couture is not in their league for subs (escape/avoidance – sure, but not application). He’s pure GNP with wrestling for position/dominance. These lads have like for like styles (Brock/Randy). Randy has the edge on boxing. Brock has the edge (I’m guessing) on wrestling (certainly takedowns and pins).
This will be interesting alright!
Fair point on Coutures subs. But hes got buckets of experience over lesnar in all aspects of fighting in MMA competition therefore the ground game, which i reckon 95% of this fight will be, is still a throw up. Lesnars an ox but can he be composed and in control for 5×5minutes on the ground? It’ll definitely be interesting.
I don’t think Lesnar deserves a title shot after only 3 pro MMA fights, the title shot being his 4th , a lot of fighters have worked damn hard to get a title shot only for this guy to come in and snatch it from under their noses, just shows Dana White’s greed ….PPV revenue will be through the roof on this one, I think Junior Dos Santos is one to watch out for….especially after that performance against Fabricio Werdum , some uppercut….
